I started talking about my healing journey and how I overcame my anger issues and being emotionally unavailable for so many years.  I shared some tips on how Self-Care really opened my eyes and made me realize the triggers that caused some of my negative behaviors.  Then people started commenting asking the same question:

Let's be honest did you know what self-care is?

Most of us don't because we were never taught to take care of ourselves.

We were taught and conditioned to take care of everyone else and then take care of ourselves last.  And self-care is way more that just the monthly trips to salon, weekend baths, or quarterly getaway trips.  

Self-Care is a DAILY ritual that helps create balance, vitality, confidence, and inner peace.

As my live kept on going more and more people joined asking the same question.  Telling me that they've been suffering for years even decades.

That they didn't know where to turn to heal or start loving and trusting themselves again. 

For me it was heartbreaking to know that there were so many people suffering and more so with this pandemic.  

I felt it in my heart that I had to do something.

I had to do something to help these people pouring out their hearts to me and being vulnerable--ready to do whatever it takes to start healing.

So I took a...

I wanted to make the challenge was simple.  

I would provide the same self-care routine I did for myself and share it with whoever signed up.

Every morning at 5:00 am PST I would go live and my audience and I would, together, do self-care.

It was AMAZING!

Almost 300 people signed up and my daily morning lives were packed with people tuning in from all over the world.

The journey with Jay brought me self awareness of myself. Starting my day by stating what I’m grateful for makes me aware of what I have and not take my life for granted. Meditation brings serenity and we all need a bit of serenity in this chaotic world. I take three minutes to visualize, usually something positive for someone I know. I find that deep breathing brings energy to my body, because I don’t consciously breathe deeply. Many years I’ve tried journaling but never could stick with it. By taking a few minutes along with my affirmations, meditation and deep breathing I’ve been able to keep up my journaling. I’m a big reader so I’ve always read every day. Prior to Covid I did go to the gym cause I’m not one to exercise by myself, but taking a couple minutes to do a yoga pose or stretch is not a problem grouped with the others. Since the last class I missed two mornings and it was like part of me was missing, it has become a part of me and made me calmer, happier and more aware of my feelings and how I respond to situations. Definitely wish I’d known to do this for myself earlier in my life. It’s a gift to oneself!

Selfcare saved my life - I was completely broken and felt like nothing would ever get better for me, I was stuck between pleasing everyone else and the edge of nothingness there was no hope, no light and I was holding on just to raise my daughter. Tiktok was an escape from my reality and that is how I met Jay and the healing tribe and it completely changed my life. I learned about self care and meditation, I've learned that taking care of myself and standing up for myself is one of the most important things I can do for me and that I don't have to feel guilty about it because I matter and I was made to be more than what others believe I am for the first time in a long time I can be myself and work towards living my life and dreams everyday now is a blessing and every small step a victory. The battles I had internally were hard and scary but I came out of it not only winning the battle but also the war. Fear and doubt will never rule over me again and setting boundaries with everyone around me is essential and the only choice I give them is to stand with me and for me or step away there is no in between, they can be in my life or in my past. Self-care has never been a priority for me. In fact I thought self care was taking a shower and brushing my teeth. I feel good when I'm helping and listening to others, but I just didn't have any energy left for myself. Jay showed up on my for you Tik Tok page and I joined the healing tribe. He literally changed my life. This year has been so tough and my depression and self loathing was getting so bad. I couldn't even come up with one kind thing to say to myself. After hanging out with Jay daily I now have tools to love myself and take care of myself daily. I've learned how to breathe! I've always been a shallow breather, afraid to make noise. What platform will be used to follow along with the Self-Care Challenge?
All the content and sessions will be done in our private Facebook Group.  I will be doing all the live Self-Care sessions with you via Facebook & TikTok Live.
What if I can't make the live session?
No worries.  All the sessions will be saved and available in the Facebook group.  It is suggested that you make the lives because that's how we can both do it together, but it's not required.
